Many people don't self-esteem is particularly important in one's relationship with God. They might even confuse high self-esteem with arrogance, and therefore think it doesn't belong in one's relationship with the Creator. Healthy self-esteem is very important in one's relationship with God and necessary for fulfilling purposeful life.

Throughout history, Israel's enemies attempted to degrade their importance and destroy their self-esteem. After all, how can the "Holy Nation" fulfill their destiny when they don't even think of themselves as holy? If they don't value themselves, how will they strive for spiritual success and believe in their Divine mission? The honest answer is, they won't. That's why there's a war on our self-esteem, and that's why it's so important to believe in ourselves.

When we believe, we have the power to act, achieve, and strive for all holy causes, and be the "Holy Nation" we are meant to be.
